Most auto makers are focused on how to bring their vehicles further and further into the future. They are smaller, faster, sleeker, and feature a constantly improving array of new technologies. Every once in a while though, an auto maker gives us the pleasure of going back in time to the good ol' days of the classics.

Land Rover is the auto maker who is taking us on a trip all the way back to 1989 to their expedition trek across the Great Divide. When the trek was first implemented it was to launch the (then) new 1990 Range Rover. The trip covered from Colorado to New Mexico and was unpaved/off-road for more than 75% of the trip. It took 12 long, impressive days.

Now, come back to 2014 for a minute for the new Great Divide Expedition. Land Rover is recreating the adventure in celebration of the 25 years since the last and using all 2014 Range Rovers, with the exception of one. Land Rover has teamed up, once again, with Tread Lightly!, the original sponsor of the expedition, to recreate the 1990 Range Rover expedition model. This bad boy will be auctioned off with proceeds going towards Tread Lightly!'s charity.
