As we drive, we make mental notes of things in the road. 'Don't go down Kennedy Drive, there are potholes,' we think to ourselves. Well, sometimes we forget, and sometimes we can't see exactly what's ahead on the road, so wouldn't it be nice if our vehicles gave us a heads up? The good news is the Land Rover brand has been working away at this idea for some time, developing a new technology that will give vehicles the ability to identify potholes while driving. Take a look at this video below.

The idea is to categorize potholes and other road nuisances ahead while attaching their location for the purpose of A) avoiding the area and B) sharing the dangers with other drivers. The end goal, as explained, is to establish car-to-car communication, so drivers can interact with fellow road-dwellers and share information. We can't wait to see this technology implemented in our new Land Rover models at Land Rover Birmingham. Call us today to learn more about this developing technology.
